Although she is an art teacher, she is actually good at sports in general, and was even a member of the national team for swimming.
However, she retired from swimming because she wanted to do other things besides sports.

She is the type of person who will try anything that interests her first, and has experience with a variety of martial arts. She is skilled enough in judo and karate to compete with athletes with ranks.

She is an avid reader, and is an omnivore who reads a wide range of books, from manga to foreign literature.
Recently, she has been fond of classic mysteries and hardcore shoujo manga.

She and Sawa have quite opposite personalities, but they hit it off because they both love books.

She has also met Tsubasa and Satoshi through Sawa.
