瀬戸 撫子

Konomi's mother and Shuuji's stepmother from Kimio's second marriage. She is a woman of action who gets everything she wants thanks to her perseverance. She is very involved in her work and has a high position, so she makes a lot of money. Because she was full of expectations and worry about Konomi, she failed to establish a connection with Shuuji.

Nadeshiko is a true modern woman: independent and with a strong character. She is very frank and strict with herself and demands the same from others in counterpart. However, she has no household skills.

Although she has quite weak mentality, she isn't a bad person at heart. Rather, she is deeply emotional and clumsy, which is why she is always at edge.

When she lost her first husband, Nadeshiko almost lost her desire to live, having only Konomi as the only will to live. At the bottom of the hole, Kimio "saved" her. Over time, she fell in love with him and remarried with him. Upon Kimio's death, she swore to respect her commitments as the mother of Seto family for her two children.

She sincerely regrets that she didn't succeed to becoming a mother for Shuuji, but that doesn't stop her from doing everything to look after him.
