Step mother of the protagonist.

She is an education critic. Even after the death of her husband, the protagonist's father, she tries to raise him well out of her feelings for him and her sense of responsibility as a step mother.

She is a serious and firm person. The only male experience she has is with her late husband and her ex-husband who she was married to before that.
