Avoidable Infidelity

This character engages in infidelity, but this event can be avoided by making different choices, succeeding better in earlier segments of the story or getting onto a different route.

Infidelity is a violation of a couple's assumed or stated contract regarding emotional and/or sexual exclusivity. This violation results in feelings of anger, jealousy, sexual jealousy, and rivalry. What constitutes an act of infidelity depends upon the exclusivity expectations within the relationship.
