After five years in the city, Hiroyuki Nishimura receives a heartfelt letter calling him back to his childhood village. Returning to reconnect with his grandparents, he's warmly welcomed by Torahiko, a tiger among his closest friends from years past. The reunion continues at a welcome-back gathering where he encounters cherished companions—dragons, tanuki, huskies, bears, cats, wolves, and dogs—alongside Soutarou, a lion who recently joined the community. As the evening unfolds, Hiroyuki must choose his dining companion, navigating through meaningful connections and rekindled friendships that define this nostalgic summer homecoming.
