Attempted Murder

Attempted murder is the intent to murder, meaning that the perpetrator either tried to murder and failed (example: attempted to shoot the victim and missed or stabbing with a knife and failing to kill) or planning to commit a murder (example: purchasing a gun or other deadly weapon with intent to use it on someone and writing about their intent to kill).
