Attempted Homicide

The person is almost murdered by another human (or humans) during the story. i.e. The person is almost strangled to death but is released before death or the person is shot (in the head for example) but manages to survive. The important thing is that they were nearly killed but managed to survive and the person who nearly killed he/she was intending on killing them.
