Franz Peter Schubert

Franz Peter Schubert (1797 – 1828) was a composer from the late Classical and early Romantic eras. He produced a lot of works, including over 600 Lieder, seven symphonies, operas, sacred music, and numerous pieces for piano and chamber ensembles. Notable works include "Erlkönig," "Ave Maria," the Trout Quintet, Symphony No. 8 (Unfinished), Symphony No. 9 (The Great), String Quartet No. 14 (Death and the Maiden), and song cycles like Die schöne Müllerin and Winterreise.
