In the village of Kitsunemori, where fox spirits and humans coexist, the village has been protected by the blessings of the highest-ranking fox spirit, the “Sky Fox,” for generations. The village’s rituals and order were maintained by the “Connector,” someone who could hear the voice of the Sky Fox. However, since the Kamizuki family, a family with the power to control fox spirits despite being human, took control, the role of the Connector has become more of a formality.

The protagonist, Kamizuki Mitsuki, is a second-year high school student who has inherited the name Kamizuki as the fifth-generation Connector. Except for the presence of her guardian fox spirit, Shijou Aki, by her side, her life is no different from those around her.

However, after she begins having mysterious dreams dyed in deep crimson, strange occurrences start happening around Mitsuki one after another.

“—I can’t keep living like this, knowing nothing.”

Her peaceful daily life begins to crumble.
