探偵は恋を知らない

One day, I was attacked and mugged on my way home from work. When I came to, I saw a man I didn't know. Later, when we met again at a detective agency, it turned out he's the detective! That's when the gears of fate started turning. I began work as his assistant, and although he hates women, he's been nothing but kind to me, which threw me for a loop.

"I can't let you go home in the middle of the night. Please, stay here."

I don't think I'm being seduced, but I can feel my heart pounding. Is this what they call "forbidden love"?
