Dust of days

A colossal ‘city’ stretches to the edge of the horizon.
And every day, people are just surviving.
Deep underground, subway lines weave through all kinds of spaces.
In that darkness, voices echo.
Are those the cries of people forgotten by the city, now turned to 'nothingness'?
Or whispers from residents who keep communicating each night through a network?
In a corner of this city, where folks shiver by day and burn with fever in the night's gloom,
each meaningless day stretches on endlessly.
