Juno is a relatively functional woman. She goes to work at a chain restaurant, has a small group of friends, and watches a vtuber named Venus Knight. She's got her problems, of course, but she'd argue she copes… decently. Not great, but decent. She has a massive parasocial relationship with Venus, but she considers that acceptable enough.

Venus Knight's gimmick is she's an alien, here to have fun and maybe save a few humans! She's got her eyes set on one human in particular, a woman who definitely, definitely needs her help.

One night, annoyed about a stream cancellation, Juno is walking home, when a girl with a familiar voice stops her.
