In the year 218, Roman Emperor Macrinus was defeated by rebel forces at the Battle of Antioch, and the imperial throne passed to a 15-year-old boy.

His name was Varius Avitus Bassianus... known by the nickname Heliogabalus.

Players will take on the role of Elagabal, the sun god whom Heliogabalus worships, and must guide him to gain the support of the people.
