Lt. Colonel Carla Benedict is a former millitary commando and a commander of the moon base. Having both technical and commando background, she's perfectly suited to be in charge of all base operations. She keeps her military background secret, as well as her former marriage and subsequent divorce. Her vast knowledge and power as well as her position also makes her a suspect in possible sabotage of base's operations so Captain Leiji has to keep his true identity secret even from her.
