Dave Price

Dave Price is Main Character's and Mackenzie Price's father. As can be seen from his relationship with his daughters, he is strict but caring, albeit unaware of how his parenting makes his daughters feel. He considers Main Character his "golden girl," unwittingly putting down Mackenzie and putting pressure on Main Character.

Dave begins the story as a widower and remains that way. He used up all of the family's savings on treatment for his wife's, June, illness, and still deeply loves her. Him saying his wife would have loved if Main Character followed in her cheerleading footsteps becomes a catalyst for the story's events.
