Mito Kohaku lives in the Yachimata Shrine of Yakotami-cho, and she is a girl that transformed from a Tayutai. She dearly respects Mashiro, who raised her and is considered her master.

In order to help Mashiro to realize the ideal of "Coexistence between Humans and Tayutais," as well as to inherit Yachimata Shrine, she trains herself day and night.

Although she speaks very politely, her personality is, in fact, innocent and plainspoken.
