Homura is the sole child of Tenjou Amanohokosaka, the Imperator before Izanami's cadence, and was the rightful heir to the position before the coup d'état by the Goddess of Death. After Tenjou was slain by Jin during the Second War of Ars Magus, Homura was taken in by Kagura, one of Tenjou's disciples. With the people of Homura's homeland now residing in either the remnants of the Ikaruga Federation or in the Ronin-Gai district in the 13th Hierarchical City of Kagutsuchi, Homura stayed in Ikaruga alongside Kagura, awaiting the day that they might be able to take back the NOL and remove Izanami from her tyrannical reign.
