Although he appears to be in a perpetual state of annoyance, Ilyes’ personality is the complete opposite. He is calm and rarely raises his voice.

Because of a peculiar status, he is forced to obey orders given to him by anyone in the academy, including the students. He would like to be freed from that bond.
