Rei's childhood friend. Being the two only children in the village, he and Rei quickly get along with each other. The two go explore the village's dumpsite as a weekly routine.
Similar to Rei, Ryuusei also dreams of starting his own journey into the outer world, hence the determination of defeating Mikage. Later on in the story, he is revealed to be successful in fulfilling his dream, 1 year earlier than Rei.
Has a mischievous personality. Always tease Rei for being too weak to become his companion.
