A freshman belonging to the Faculty of Letters at R University.

He is one of the few friends Akito has and often plays chess with him. A good-natured person, he is the complete opposite of Akito in terms of personality. He works part-time as a cram school tutor, with one of his students being Nakashima Jirou.

He is involved in a case alongside Akito.
