A sophomore at the private W University Humanities Department in Tokyo. He attends the Minzoku (Folklore) Seminar. He's a very ordinary young man, neither particularly unique now nor in the past. Though he desires a girlfriend, he lacks the courage to properly confess to the person he likes, so he finds it difficult to do so. He's close friends with Yasuchika and often hangs out with him. However, his role mainly involves accurately retorting to Yasuchika's jokes, so people around them think of them as a comedy duo or see him as the one who cleans up after the troubles caused by Yasuchika.

Because of his pleasant demeanor, he may seem somewhat timid and unreliable, but he's the type of person who displays initiative and judgment precisely when needed, becoming dependable in critical moments.
