Her power, "silent explosion", has such immense power that the Japanese government has decided to let her do whatever she pleased. After running away from the mountain, she restarts her life by coming to ward 13.

Despite being somewhat strange in the first place, Mirai is very kind toward her younger classmates. Regarding her emotionlessness, it is crucial in keeping her power stable, under control.
