Yoko Shimomura is a Japanese composer and pianist primarily known for her work in video games. She was born on October 19, 1967, in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan.

She has previously worked for Capcom and Square and is most well known for composing the soundtracks for Street Fighter II, the Mario & Luigi series, and the Kingdom Hearts franchise.

She currently works as a freelancer under the music production company, Midiplex, though she still frequently composes music for Square Enix.
