Shuuho attends Ubutsuchi Academy on the shores of Lake Ubutsuchi. An avid gamer, he started the ‘Entertainment Research Club’ with his equally game-loving younger sister Ririko and best friend Atsumori, where they play games every day after school. One day, transfer student Anon invites them to try a game no one else has played. Ririko's best friend Yuria is suspicious, but as a secret magician who senses Anon's magical aura, she can't explain her distrust. The five begin playing the in-development VR title ‘Wizard Generation’ and find themselves in a vast field. The hyper-realistic game appeals to all five senses, captivating even Yuria despite her initial resistance. Soon, class rep Ouka and Shuuho's childhood friend Natsume join the party.
