Zajchik

Zajchik is a non-linear horror visual novel. As winter blankets the world in slumber, the forest remains awake. Something prowls its snow-covered paths, lurking behind black trees, claiming what it deems its due. Bizarre rumors spread: voices calling into the thicket, faces at windows, mysterious prints in the snow, and a growing pile of “child missing” posters. Those who hear the forest's voice are beyond help, sinking into the cold embrace of horror, forced to make a final choice in the icy dark: stay alive or stay human? The story unfolds in a quiet, unremarkable village lost in the Siberian woods. Protagonist Anton moves there with his family and soon witnesses a chain of unsettling events. Children vanish, police are powerless, yet Anton stumbles upon footprints, bloodstains, and torn clothing—as if a show is put on just for him. Nightmares haunt him, growing more terrifying and bloody each night, and increasingly real... and alluring.
