Bill yesterday, charge today. Bill tomorrow, pay again. Kyoya Arima, the protagonist, struggles to save money from his part-time convenience store job. Finally, he buys his dream smartphone and eagerly downloads game apps from the store. But almost all the ‘free’ games demand in-app purchases for progress. Frustrated, Kyoya swears never to spend a cent on microtransactions. After days of searching, he discovers a social RPG called ‘CUFFS Story’—a real-world AR game with no in-app purchases. Hooked by its joy, he joins a guild. When they decide to meet offline, Kyoya is shocked to find all members attend the same school. In-game bonds become real-life connections, changing his school life forever.
