Policenauts

The story follows Jonathan Ingram, one of five 'Policenauts'—astronauts trained as police officers—tasked with safeguarding Beyond Coast, humanity's first full-scale space colony, in 2013. During a test of a new spacesuit, a freak accident sends Jonathan adrift into space, presumed dead by his colleagues. Nearly 25 years later, he's found alive thanks to the suit's cryo-sleep module. Three years after that, Jonathan, now a private investigator in former Los Angeles, is visited by his ex-wife Lorraine. She asks him to investigate the disappearance of her current husband, Kenzo Hojo, leaving only a torn leaf, capsules, and the word 'Plato' as clues. Initially reluctant, Jonathan changes his mind after Lorraine is murdered outside his office by a black-motorcycle-suited assailant. Determined to honor her last wish, he travels to Beyond Coast, reuniting with his former LAPD partner Ed Brown, who helps him unravel the mysteries behind Hojo's vanishing and Lorraine's death.
