In the city of alchemy, Allenbeek, the once-revered practice has faded into obscurity, replaced by social media, mobile games, and online shopping. Ruri, the daughter of a long-established alchemy supply shop, refuses to let this ancient art die. With her childhood friend Io, the aspiring student Kanon, and the brilliant but aloof researcher Sara, she sets out to create something astonishing that will reignite the world's wonder. But their experiment yields an unexpected result: a homunculus—a beast-eared, tailed girl born from alchemy. Her emergence stirs the city and the girls' hearts, setting a motion to an era long thought dormant—the age of alchemy begins anew.
