Among their finds is an inhabited stasis pod, which they unknowingly awaken. Out steps Wil Nymera, a young interstellar wanderer who’s been asleep for over 500 years. Revealing himself as a Veleian—an ancient race known for telepathy, advanced tech, and a track record of either uplifting or annihilating younger civilizations—Wil reluctantly joins the crew. Soon, he becomes the target of factions seeking the mythical homeworld of his father, drawing the *Ophelia* into a conflict between ancient powers and new, greedy forces.
