It resolves a lingering plot thread by following three thieves—Serge, Kid, and Magil—as they infiltrate a foreboding mansion to steal the legendary Frozen Flame. Featuring two returning characters from Chrono Trigger, this narrative-driven experience offers multiple endings based on timed choices. Later reimagined as the 1999 RPG Chrono Cross, it's a linear, high-fantasy tale with no sexual content, focusing on knife combat and a daring heist.
