This takes place during the spring break before high school begins.

Yuto Naoe, a young boy, was searching for the missing dog of his childhood friend, Rika Ito. The one who suggested searching for the dog, which had been gone for several days, was their other childhood friend, Makoto Tsujimura. Tsujimura had feelings for Rika and was trying to do something good by finding the dog, and Yuto was reluctantly dragged into helping.

During these days, Rika confided a certain worry to Yuto.
"I might have sleepwalking disorder... or maybe I have multiple personalities?"

The disappearance of the dog, Rika’s growing anxiety, the brutal random attacks happening in Yuto’s town, and the strange urban legends circulating at his elementary school. Could all of these events somehow be linked to the world of witches?

In a world where witches are escaping the flames of persecution and surviving, they are known as the "Nine-Crowned Witches." The witches featured in an ancient book, "The Crowned Witches," supposedly written by a priest, are considered to be fundamentally different from the witches who were regarded as the enemies of the Church.
