Tokiiro no Matsuei

The world was once in chaos, where those with special abilities emerged. Some used their powers to guide humanity and were revered as gods, while others brought destruction and were feared as demons. But born from this chaos were not only gods and demons, but also Shinma—beings with the form of gods and the hearts of devils, feared as harbingers of confusion. The king of Shinma, Yamata-no-Orochi, demanded sacrifices (maidens) from humanity, but was defeated by Susanoo. As a result, Shinma were sealed beneath the earth, losing their powers. Yet now, the Shinma are awakening once more.
