Apathy - Midnight Collection ~Vol. 1~ is an alternate retelling of the horror VN Gakkou de Atta Kowai Hanashi, with additional scenarios and art added in 2007 to create Apathy - Gakkou de Atta Kowai Hanashi ~Visual Novel Version~, and then a final S version. This compilation features three stories: Emi’s Murder Club Observation Diary, the main tale about a psychopathic schoolgirl trying to avoid assassination by the school's Murder Club; The Following Dog, a grounded horror story about a dog that eats you if you look back on your journey; and Scratches on the Pillars, an evocative, artistic tale that is very short and completely linear.
