Masa takes the day off to invite her to watch him at the "Iron Stomach" eating competition, where he hopes to win enough money to be able to support his dates with her.

After Masa gets indigestion from eating too much food, his girlfriend calls Chiriko Osugi, an acquaintance of her, for advice on improving Masa's intestinal fortitude.
