18 years ago, a still-pregnant Nagisa moved to Kameshima alone before giving birth to Tsukasa shortly afterwards. Tsukasa subsequently grew up in a single-mother household. Although Tsukasa used to occasionally ask her about her father, she always evaded her questions, so Tsukasa has since stopped inquiring. However, the fact that Nagisa never seems to have any financial difficulty despite not working has led Tsukasa to quietly suspect that he might still be involved in some way.

Nagisa used to work as a maid for Yoshiatsu Yamashina, Tsukasa's biological father. Nagisa shares hostility towards Yamashina, but still receives financial support from him.
