A high school boy who grew up in Tsukumo City, a city decimated by the Calamity. As a child, the trauma from losing his mother left him temporarily unable to speak. He often sought refuge at the botanical garden, where he met a mysterious girl and fell in love with her.

His relationship with his father, who was the mayor of Tsukumo City at the time, has always been strained. After the Calamity, he was taken in by his aunt, Kirika. He seems mature and composed beyond his years, yet there is a certain world-weariness about him, which likely stems from his childhood experiences.

When he goes to visit his aunt in his hometown during summer break, he's reunited with his first love—the girl who continues to look after the abandoned botanical garden.
