A girl Yuu encounters during his first time going into the forest, where stands a magical tree with which the girl has a mysterious connection.
Sumire does not talk much and sometimes be perceived as eccentric by other people. She is currently practicing Kendo in Shishime family's dojo, and is stronger than most students there, including Haruka.
Later on, Sumire is revealed to possess an ability that allows her to read people's emotions by their "color". Her name, Sumire, is written as "澄恋" in kanji, which is the combination of her parents' last letter in their name (Akisumi 秋(澄) and Sakurako 桜(恋))
