Mel was ordered to take command of a unit for a special mission in the snowy mountains.
...It was an obvious "demotion" in the eyes of everyone who saw it.
She knew how irrational and absurd the reasons for this were.
There was likely an element of resignation and compromise involved.
Yet, she accepted the order.
Because that was the only way of life she had ever known.
