This character acts like a doting, fawning parent towards another of the story characters. They may or may not be actual family members but "the taking under one's wing" and "protecting against dangers" are important parts of this behavior.

This trait is intended for mild cases which are most usually found in parents. Extreme cases of this behavior results in acting Possessive, which is presented as a child trait to this.
