I was a lecturer far away from Japan when I received the news that my wife's condition had deteriorated. I returned to Japan without any possessions, but I could not take care of her, it was too late.

One day, Satoru, who now teaches at the school where his two daughters attend, is summoned by the director and asked about his daughter Isuzu's marriage proposal.
