誰が為に鴉は啼く

A long time ago, in the northern part of a certain archipelago...

Yamazakura was abandoned by her parents, but she still lived a happy life in an isolated village, together with her kind-hearted adoptive father.
However, on her sixth spring, her happiness would be suddenly clouded by yet another war with the southern country. Government officers came to Yamazakura's village, drafting her father into the army and taking her away with them as well.

This is the story about distant memories.
A confession of sins, and an act of atonement.
