A lone woman stands there with a hammer.

It could be ascertained that indulgences were the problem, Mary lamented, writing her message, before the holy day. She wrote and wrote, describing the issues of those within the Church, her fellow academics, and her fellow worshippers. Because at the very bottom of the problem was that something was wrong: no, that something was very wrong.

She could no longer hold her head high with the collar around her neck; as other girls barked and clawed at God.

Redemption needs to not just come from within, she wrote, and it cannot be given to others by someone else.
