Even if work goes south, exams end in failure, or life knocks you down flat — people gotta keep on living.

The setting is a sea of trees notorious as a suicide hotspot. There, sightings often occur of a ghostly girl with golden hair, blue eyes, and a shotgun.
Naomura Tatsuki, a former temp worker axed from his company who can't let go of his dream to become a school teacher, driven partly by morbid curiosity, visits the forest to meet this ghost girl — and make his fantasy of falling for her a reality. But what he finds there are suicide attempt survivors who couldn't die and ended up living. There, he learns alongside them what it truly means to be alive, and resolves to fight to stop them from killing themselves.
